The Priessnitz® Joint Ointment is a product with a patent-protected composition - an L.E.D. cooling complex® of antiphlogistic agents to address joint problems. It contains a unique mixture of substances whose effects you will appreciate if you suffer from backache, inflammations, swellings, limited mobility or joint stiffness.

We recommend that you use Priessnitz® joint ointment for pain, inflammation, swelling, or limited mobility and joint stiffness. The ointment also has beneficial effects in the case of rheumatic and arthritic problems.

Active substances contained in the Priessnitz® Joint Ointment:

Boswellic acids - are contained in the resin-like mass obtained from the Indian woody plant Boswellia serrata. The extract from the bark of the plant is a highly active substance with significant anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, and anti-hyperlipidemic effects. It reduces inflammatory processes and has a relieving effect on the symptoms of osteoarthritis. It helps the body to cope with morning stiffness and improves joint mobility. The mechanism of the action of boswellic acids is similar to that of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic agents (NSAIDs) but shows no adverse side-effects observed with NSAIDs. A number of studies were conducted to justify their use. The effect of boswellic acids is comparable with that of acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin). However, unlike acetylsalicylic acid, boswellic acids do not irritate or damage the intestine, do not reduce fever, and do not thin the blood.
